Position: Service Assistant – Operations

I. JOB PURPOSE
Ecobank Cameroon is seeking a Service Assistant – Operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of all remittance transactions (e.g., Western Union, Rapid Transfer, MoneyGram). The role includes account reconciliation, partner supervision, and support to branch operators for efficient client service.

II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance with Group policies and procedures.
- Review transaction documentation to ensure alignment with exchange regulations.
- Deliver remittance services within defined SLA and TAT.
- Conduct regular controls per internal procedures.
- Process daily settlements and reconcile all remittance accounts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or outstanding items.
- Respond promptly to customer and partner claims.
- Submit statutory declarations (Pre-financing, Balance of Payments, etc.).
- Reconcile branch accounts: suspense, immediate credit, teller differences, etc.
III. JOB PROFILE
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in banking operations
Education:
- University degree (minimum BAC+3)
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong ability to detect regulatory breaches
- General understanding of banking products and local foreign exchange regulations
- Quality and results-oriented
- Excellent task prioritization and organizational skills
- High level of security awareness and fraud prevention
